Welcome to our website.
Catara Robinson was a happy healthy three year old who loved to dress up, run and play with her cousins. July 7th, 2009, Catara's world came crashing down. Catara some how managed to pull out a cord that runs through the slats of a window blind. She pulled this, formed a loop, placed it around her neck and strangled. Her Dad came in moments later and found her. There was no pulse. Mom came in and began CPR while Dad called 911.
Catara was revived at the hospital where she was admitted but the Catara that Mom and Dad once knew, would never be the same again. Catara suffered severe brain damage. She cannot walk, talk, eat. At this point, we are praying for a miracle.
Please look through our website. We will be updating the blog often. Come back and read her progress.
Please take window covering cords out of your home. We had our pull cords tied up but that did not save our daughter. Her life and ours will never be the same again. Please come to this website www.pfwbs.org and find out more about window covering safety. Parents for Window Blind Safety is a Non-Profit organization that educates the public on window covering dangers and supports parents who have lost children or have had children injured from window covering cords.
We would like to get legislation passed in Missouri to ban the cords in daycares. Children are dying in daycares as well as in homes. We will keep you updated with our progress with this as well.
